Lord Nelson Says

I want to give you an updated on several fronts. First, the Centennial Project is on course on all fronts and Herb Bundgen and Jeff Cotter have received money or pledges for $22,150 for the various parts of the Dream Castle.

Second, we are still behind in getting new members and we still need to have more guests, so that we have the possibility of new members. Thanks Mary Jo for bringing a guest this week.

And finally, we have a new problem. Our attendance is only 63% for the year and this puts us in the bottom third of our District. Since we have two weeks before and two weeks after our regular meetings, there is plenty of time to make up. Also, remember any official Rotary meeting or outing is considered a make-up as well, so let's try to get our attendance up.

Centennial Project

There are still available several "Named Gift and Memorial Opportunities" for the Dream Castle at Sunny Fields Park, our Centennial Project. Items that are still available range from the Danish Castle ($5,000) and Viking Ship ($1,800) to the Monkey Bars ($450) and Rubber Bridge ($650) on the Obstacle Course. To get a complete listing of what is still available or if you are interested in purchasing something, please contact Jeff Cotter at 688-4904. But hurry before they are all taken!

Articles for the Cogwheel

We are always looking for articles or updates about our members and all the Rotary activity that occurs in the Valley. Please contact myself or Len Dalberg if you want to appear in future Cogwheels.
