AN INTERVIEW WITH GOD

It was the ultimate interview for any reporter, a chance to talk with God. First I asked, "What surprises you most about mankind?
God answered: "That they get bored of being children, they are in a rush to grow up, and then long to be children again.
"That they lose their health to make money and then lose their money to restore their health.
"That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live neither for the present or the future.
"That they live as if they will never die, and then die as if they had never lived…"
Then I asked, "What are some of life's lessons?"
God replied with a smile: "To learn that they cannot make anyone love them. What they can do is to let themselves be loved.
" To learn that what is most valuable is not what they have in their lives, but who they have in their lives.
"To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others.
"To learn that a rich person is not the one who has the most, but is one who needs the least.
"To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in persons we love, and that it takes many years to heal them.
"To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it totally differently, and still love each other.
"To learn that a true friend is someone who knows everything about them…and likes them anyway.
"For people will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. People will forget what kind of car you drove and how big your house is. But people will never forget how you made them feel."

Merry Christmas

Special wishes to everyone and your families for a Happy Holiday!
Enjoy the season and all the Great times to come in 2003!

CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS PARTY

Every one is invited to bring your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, spouse, etc… to our Children's Party Wednesday Dec. 18 at our regular meeting time and place. If you bring a child with you be sure to bring a gift for them (the child), so Santa will have a gift to give them when they visit with him.

PRESIDENTS MESSAGE

The Holidays are upon us and we're nearing the end of the first half of our fiscal year. I'm looking forward to the Christmas dinner party, which we haven't held in a number of years.
Remember we have the kid's party on the 18th so bring those grand kids and for those of you that are still reproducing your own little ones, or big ones. I could never get mine to come once they were in their adult years. Bob Moir will be the master of ceremony and leading the meeting that day.
Again, we are dark on the 25th and January 1, 2003. I'll be in Europe visiting my son and traveling with my family and celebrating Christmas in Florence, Italy and New Years in Barcelona, Spain.
Boy, I'm sure glad my fines are already paid.
I wish all of you a wonderful holiday season.
Sow those seeds, It can be done.

Just a Thought

One of life's mysteries is how a 2-pound box of candy
can make you gain 5 pounds?
